What does Summer in Dubai feel like? How do people enjoy with a 50 degrees celsius kind of heat? When you say "Summer in Dubai", It doesn't mean going to the beaches, waterparks or field trips. It's the total opposite! Here in Dubai, people prefer to go malling, indoor ice skating or to Ski Dubai (a manmade snow paradise). It's just like you wanna stay away from the heat as much as possible! Being in Dubai my whole life, I've already experienced and learned to endure the Summer heat, and lemme tell you, it's no easy. Here are some things you can relate too if you've spent Summer in Dubai: 1. You can't walk the beach sands or sidewalks with your bare feet. Don't even dare to try if burning your feet is not an option for you. 2. You bring extra layers of clothing witb you to wherever your destination is. Whether going to the cinemas, hotels, or even malls, it's just normal to bring shawls, blazers, and hoodies with you. Take note: You dont wear it, you bring it. TOO HOT OUTSIDE, TOO COLD INSIDE. 3. Your air conditioner broke at least once. Poor A/C, It did all the work for you, and it just decided to give up. Tears everywhere. 4. You try to stay at home as much as possible. As soon as you step your foot out the door, you're immediately the heat's target. 5. You either go for a morning swim, or night swimming. There is no in between. Unless you wanna get sunburned. 6. You still get amazed at how hot it really gets every year. You can't seem to get used to it, and you always wished it was still winter. But along with the hardships and perseverance, there comes some happiness! Here are some cool things about Summer in Dubai: 1. Everything you see is on Sale! From disco balls to chandeliers, everything you see is on sale. At least you get to save some money for your next summer escapade. 2. You get to experience some fun. There's this thing we call Dubai Summer Festival or DSF in short, where different kinds of activities are available for all. 3. Less people, Less Traffic. During Summer, most of the people go on holidays, probably to find a 'not-so-hot' place to stay for a while. Less people mean less cars, and Less cars mean? Yes, you're right, Less traffic. **That's it! My thoughts about Summer In Dubai. Could you relate to some of it? If so, please feel free to comment and share this post. And don't forget to read more of my blogs here! Love lots! xx ~Kristina
