Have you ever heard a song that made you feel happy, sad, satisfied, sorry, heartbroken, and excited at the same time? When you kind of don't know what, how, and why you feel that way? I did. I felt a ton of emotions while listening to a Christian song, "Happy Day" by Jesus Culture. I thought maybe I could share how I felt while listening to this lovely song.
- feeling or showing pleasure or contentment.
Who wouldn't be happy knowing Jesus saved you from your sin and you don't have to suffer?
- feeling or showing sorrow; unhappy.
Thinking about the way I was rescued from my sins made me sad, knowing that Jesus had to suffer for me, even though I don't deserve it.
- contented; pleased.
As much as it pains me, it also satisfies me, thinking that Jesus saved me, and we don't have to suffer, and I know that something awaits me when I meet Him one day.
- feeling sad or distressed through sympathy with someone else's misfortune
I feel really sorry that Jesus had to experience such a brutal death. I know it was to save us, but I still can't help but feel that way.
- suffering from overwhelming distress
I felt heartbroken at the thought of Jesus having to suffer and die for me, and yet we still continue to go against Him.
- very enthusiastic and eager.
It thrills me to know that I will be meeting my Savior soon, and as the song says, face to face. I honestly can't wait!
This song sure has a lot of emotions in it. Did you feel the same way as me?
