How do we dress the right way? Is there a right way of dressing? We all know that we should wear clothes (right? please don't say no!) but are there specific rules in how we should dress? I always hear things like, "That girl is wearing too little clothes", or "She's covered herself too much; she already looks like a nun." Like...how? And why is it automatically the lady's fault if she gets harassed by a guy? And if she ever does get attacked, you'll hear things like, "She asked for it, she should've worn more decent clothes." Do women always have hide to themselves in huge baggy clothes?
Day after day, people get judged based on the way they dress. Everybody gets pressured in picking out the appropriate, acceptable clothes to wear every day, and we all try to catch up with the latest styles and trends, but no -- you don't have to buy all the trendy clothes at the mall so you could "fit in". Clothes were only made for the sole purpose of making us feel comfortable about ourselves, so if you're going out on a sunny day, don't be afraid to wear a tank top and shorts! And if it's cold inside a hotel, why not wear three layers of long sleeved shirts? It's all about you staying comfortable! We all get labeled based on what we wear, but I think the problem is not in how we dress, but how we respect everybody regardless of whatever they decide to put on for today. I hope everyone focuses on a person's attitude rather than their taste in clothing, because what's outside won't always matter forever. Besides, the first man and woman to ever grace the earth wore nothing. Right?
