Wait! Don't start assuming that I'd get all mushy and sentimental writing about my 'first love', cause truth be told, I don't even have a first love. I may or may not have had crushes before, but those were either infatuation or merely pure admiration. I don't recall really feeling endearment in a romantic way towards another person of the opposite sex, or felt such a strong emotion for them that may be recognized as love. Since I have never had a first love, I'm just going to share what I think about having a first love. ..
There are many forms of 'first loves'. It may mean the first time you felt such a strong romantic emotion towards someone, and it may also mean the first thing, place, or activity that one is most fondest of. I think what today's writing challenge refers to is the romantic kind. First loves are irreplaceable. They say, "first love never dies' and I personally think that statement is true — well, unless someone else comes along, proves to be better than your first love, and replaces him/her in your heart. A first love is hard to get over. It will always put a smile on your face, no matter how long ago it was. A first love will leave an imprint in your heart forever. Lastly, a first love is special. You can't just wake up one day and forget all about that specific someone. Their eyes, their laugh, their humor, how they always seem to make your day a little better. I didn't say any names but he/she popped in your brain, didn't they? *wink wink*
